Interested in joining New Mexico TERT?


Please click the link below to access the NM TERT Portal where you can submit your application.

Please note: Your PSAP must be registered before submitting your application.
If your PSAP is not listed, please contact your PSAP Director for assistance.

Before submitting your application, please gather electronic copies of all required certifications. You will need to upload them during the application process.

Required Certifications for TERT Member

  1. Basic Telecommunicator Certification (Issued by your approved training provider)

  2. IS-144: Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (TERT) Basic Awareness

  3. IS-100: Introduction to Incident Command System

  4. IS-200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

  5. IS-700: National Incident Management System, An Introduction

  6. IS-800: National Response Framework, An Introduction

Recommended Certifications

  • Hazardous Materials Awareness

  • Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) Certification (any nationally recognized provider)

  • NCIC Certification (any level)

  • Peer Support Certification

Required for TERT Team Leader

  1. All certifications listed for a TERT Member

  2. IS-1200: TERT Team Leader Training

Additional Recommended for Team Leaders

  • IS-300: Intermediate Incident Command System

  • IS-400: Advanced Incident Command System

  • FEMA Communications Unit Leader (COML)

  • Peer Support Certification

  • Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training
